I get a lot of questions about my copic markers and if I'm going to be uploading a tutorial. I will not be doing a tutorial because I dont have the camera for that, but I will do a list of tips in this journal so you guys know a few more of my secrets Llama Emoji-03 (Sparkles) [V1]

Here We Go!

:bulletpink:  BUY YOUR MARKERS HERE. THEY ARE $5 FOR ANYONE AND IF YOU MAKE A FREE ACCOUNT THEY ARE $4. THIS IS COMPARED TO $7 IN MOST RETAIL STORES LIKE MICHAEL'S AND HOBBY LOBBY. OOZAK SELLS LITERALLY EVERYTHING COPIC MARKER RELATED.

:bulletpink: When you start buying copics, unless you are gonna buy a lot at once, start by getting all the shades of one color. The set I would recommend would be some of the cool greys, Starting with C2  and then the rest through C9. You dont have to buy all 8. maybe just the first 3 in the set.

:bulletpink: Do not combine any kind of pencil with copics. YOU WILL RUIN THEM!!!! Always outline using pen and then use your copics. If you must combine with colored pencil, use the all the copics your coloring with first, even if the colored pencil is your base color.

:bulletpink: Another coloring thing, check your outlining pens before you use them. Some will smear if you use copics even after the pen has dried. Most artist recommend some fancy outlining pen set, but unless you want super fancy outlining, I recommend Papermate Felt Tip black pens. They dont smear and take forever to run out of ink.

:bulletpink: Test your markers after you buy them!! Learn how they feel! Do this with every single one you buy! Each one feels different and each one bleeds through the page differently.

:bulletpink: DO NOT THROW AWAY ANY MARKER EVER!!!!  EVEN IF IT DIES OR THE PEN NIB IS DESTROYED!!! THE INK CAN BE REFILLED AND THE NIB CAN BE REPLACED!!!! BUY SOME OF THOSE AS BACK UP FOR YOUR LIGHTER COLORED PENS!!

:bulletpink: You will screw up. Buy a white gel pen to save your life. It's like white out but better for the little edges you have to fix. Its also the best for eye highlights, hair highlights, and metal highlights. Basically any highlight. Then invest in some other colored gel pens for color detail fixes, like small buttons where the markers bled.

:bulletpink: Buy Copic Sketch markers. You can buy the others if you want, but do some research into them first. Trust me, when you think Copic Markers, you're thinking of Copic Sketch.

Enjoy your markers everyone!

Damn, this was really useful, especially considering I have no hint of an idea how to use any style of traditional marker/colored pencil.
